2. Excellent flame retardant and heat-resistant meta-aramid has a limiting oxygen index (LOI) greater than 28, so it will not continue to burn when it leaves the flame. The flame retardant properties of meta-aramid are determined by their own chemical structure, so it is a permanent flame retardant fiber that does not reduce or lose its flame retardant properties due to use time and washing. Meta-aramid has good thermal stability, can be used continuously under the condition of 205 °C, and can still maintain high strength under high temperature conditions greater than 205 °C. Meta-aramid has a high decomposition temperature, and will not melt and melt droplets under high temperature conditions, and carbonization will begin when the temperature is greater than 370 °C.
3. Stable chemical meta-aramid has excellent resistance to most chemicals, can resist most high concentrations of inorganic acids, and has good alkali resistance at room temperature.
4. Radiation resistance meta-aramid has excellent radiation resistance. For example, under prolonged irradiation with 1.2×10-2 W/in2 UV rays and 1.72×108rads γ rays, its intensity remains unchanged.
5. Excellent friction resistance and chemical resistance of durable meta-aramid, after 100 washes, the tearing strength of the fabric processed with meta-aramid can still reach more than 85% of the original strength.
